If the cylinders are damaged or excessively worn, they will need re-boring and honing of the cylinders to a slightly larger size and fitting of oversized pistons and rings. Where the crankshaft is damaged or excessively worn, it will require regrinding the crankshaft to a slightly smaller size and fitting undersized main and conrod bearings.
